The Months Go By

Crisp mornings ……..

A new year is dawning 

So begins the months of the year!

White frost glistens, in early dawn

January is born.

Valentine hearts warm, a white dove

February in love.

Bulbs are stirring, animals are yawning

March hare calling.

Spring lambs jumping, Easter eggs wars

April showers pour.

Bank holiday ribbons, new queen parade

May day made.

Summer solstice, playing in the hay

June's longest day.

Strawberry picking, farm in full swing

July summer begins.

Schools out, enjoy the sun, sea and sand

August holiday tanned.

New uniform to big, school returns

September lessons learned.

Autumn haze, conkers and laces

October's cold faces.

Chill in the air, crisp golden leaves

November's cool breeze.

Pudding, presents and Santa sleigh

December Christmas day.

Dusk returns ……..
